Harold Park

Dohne Stud

Charles & Shayne Wass

The Harold Park Story ...

Harold and Helen Wass both came from farming backgrounds and were keen to return to a farming property after raising their four children.

In 2004, with the purchase of Harold Park, the search began for a breed that would thrive in the tough conditions of the Eastern Wheatbelt. Harold found, after considerable research, that the Dohne sheep was a multi purpose sheep being a bigger frame, fast growing and also still retaining the quality in the wool.

In 2005 Harold purchased his first Dohne rams and then began the process of building up his flock to establish a Dohne Stud.

"Harold Park" is a registered Dohne Stud with The Australian Dohne Breeders Association.

More recently, we have registered as a Food Business and have begun selling some of our lambs and hoggets direct to the public.  This makes premium, grass fed lamb accessible to the consumer due to the reduced cost to them.

While Harold Park North has been managed by Harold & Helen's son, Charles, and his wife Shayne since 2016, it is now fully owned and run by Charles and Shayne and 2022 will be the first season under their own banner.
